Frank Addington's design and art direction work has been nationally recognized for the elegance and artistry with which it carries the client's messages. Clients quickly appreciate his craft and taste in designing understated ways to advance their products and services.
A native of the Kansas City area, Frank received his BFA in Design from the University of Kansas and began his career with Centron Films. After eight years as Art Director with West Associates Advertising and Design, he was appointed Senior Designer and Creative Director in the Kansas City office of Fleishman-Hillard, then the nation's largest independent public relations firm.
Frank has been a frequent guest lecturer in design at the University of Kansas since he started his own firm in 1992. He also affiliated with CCN in 1998, and he specializes in advertising, annual reports, books, brochures, calendars, corporate identity, logos and packaging.
Frank has worked with a notable array of clients, including Farmland Industries, Ferrellgas, Butler Manufacturing, Hallmark Cards, Houlihan's Restaurant Group, the Hyatt Regency - Kansas City, Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Sealright Co., United Missouri Bank, Western Resources, William M. Mercer management consultants, Gold Bank, the March of Dimes, Inergy, the Zillner Group, Geo-Access, and BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City.
His designs have been published in Print Magazine Design Annual, Art Direction Magazine Creativity Annual, Studio Magazine Design Annual, Flash Magazine Design Annual, and the New York Type Directors Club Annual. He has received awards from the Advertising Club of Kansas City, the Kansas City Art Directors Club, Kansas City Business Communicators, International Association of Business Communicators, and the Printing Institute of America.
